Christian Anne Guy SYDNEY, NS - Christian Anne Guy, 84, of Sydney passed away Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, NS she was the daughter of the late James and Christian (Will) Crooks. Christian resided in Aberdeen, Scotland for several years and received her education there. Christian was a member of Christ Church, The Christ Church Sanctuary Guild, Prayer group, and was a longtime member of the choir. She taught at Sydney Academy for many years retiring in 1980. She is survived by a son, Eric, Riverview, NB; a daughter, Sheena Lesniewski of Pembroke, New Hampshire; She is also survived by two grandchildren, Kate and Faye Lesniewski. Christian was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Robert Guy and her son-inlaw, Ron Lesniewski. Visitation will be at Sydney Memorial Chapel, Welton St., Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will take place Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 2 pm at Christ Church, Rev. Valeria Rhymes and Rev. Fred Rhymes officiating. Interment will be in Hardwood Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Christ Church Memorial Fund, The Canadian National Institute of the Blind, or a charity of choice.
