DICKIE, DAVID CRUICKSHANK At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton on Sunday, February 20, 2005, David Cruickshank Dickie, died peacefully at the age of 78 years. Survived by wife Helena (Knox) Dickie of Upper Salmon Creek; by sons, Sheldon (Judy) of Trenton, N.S., Allan (Wendy) of Quispamsis and Dwight (Cindy) of Crossfield, Alberta; by daughter, Shawnna and fiancé Ray of Saint John; by brother, Hugh of Hamilton, Ontario and by grandchildren Mark, Denise, Sean, Joy, Ryan, Noel and Elizabeth. He was born in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, the son of the late Thomas and Rachel (Graham) Dickie. He was also predeceased by four sisters and two brothers. David was self employed most of his working days with Dickie's Grocery and his logging contracting business. Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home, (339-6612) until Wednesday when funeral services will be held from the Salmon Creek United Baptist Church, at 11:00 am with Rev. Harry Branscombe officiating. Spring interment in the Red Bank Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart and Stroke, Alzheimers or the Salmon Creek United Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
