Molly P. Pickard MALAGASH, NS - Molly P. Pickard (Joyce), 85, of Malagash, NS, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2005 in the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. She was the oldest daughter of the late Harris A. and Bertha E. Joyce (Moncton, New Brunswick). After graduating from Mount Allison University, she worked as secretary-treasurer of Moncton Lumber Company until her marriage. She enjoyed outdoor activities such as skating, swimming and trout fishing. She was an ardent curler in the days when the reward for success was a teaspoon or a memorial pin. Most importantly, she was a wife, mother and homemaker and proud of her worth. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Campbell; a daughter, Joyce, at home; daughter-in-law, Dale, Kingston, ON; grandchildren, Damon (Leslie), Kingston, ON, Darcy (Shane), Vancouver; great-grandchild, David; sisters, Mrs. Carol Proctor, Moncton and Mrs. Betty Covey (Bill), Middleton, NS. She was predeceased by a son, David. Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service in the Malagash United Church on Friday, February 25, 2005 at 2 p.m., Rev. Jane Doull officiating, with a reception to follow in the Malagash Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Molly's memory may be made to the David K. Pickard Memorial Fund, at Mount Allison University, 82A York Street, Sackville, New Brunswick, E4L 1G2, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche, NS.
