Carl Richard Kierstead August 06, 1936 - February 27, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Campbell's Funeral Home Carl Richard Kierstead Jr. age 67 of Amherst passed away on Sunday February 27, 2005 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan. He was a son of the late Carl and Maude (Curry) Kierstead. Carl worked at Enamel Heating Steel division for about 27 years and at D&J Taxi where he was known as "Captain Cab." He enjoyed spending long summers at his cottage and following the Amherst Junior Ramblers until his illness. Carl is survived by one son Brian (Ivy) Kierstead of Amherst; two daughters Wanda (Andrew Touchie) Kierstead and Barbara (Tom) Mack both of Amherst; one brother Robert (Marjorie) Kierstead and one sister Brenda (Laurie) Brown both of Amherst; two grandsons Logan Kierstead and Simon Mack; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles Carl was predeceased by his wife the former Shirley Kelly. Cremation has taken place. His Family will receive visitors on Tuesday March 1, 2005 from 12- 2 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. from Campbell's Funeral Home 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with Rev. Patti Blundell officiating. Burial will take place in the spring in the Amherst Cemetery. Family flowers only.
