MacDONALD, HAROLD HAMILTON - Passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, February 24th, 2005. He was born in Saint John, NB to Harvey and Nettie (McCain) MacDonald. Harold is survived by his wife, Myrtle (Hopey) of 56 years, one son, Brian (Susan), sister- in-law, Mary MacDonald, and several nieces and nephews. Harold was predeceased by sisters, Muriel Gallant, Grace Audrey Elliott, and by a brother Clarence MacDonald. Harold was a WWII Veteran serving overseas. On his return he was employed with CNR for 37 years. Harold was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 14. Dedicated to the Poppy Campaign, a member of the Portland Branch # 64, he was also a chosen member of the Ladies Auxiliary Jarvis Bay # 53. Harold also enjoyed walking. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424) with visitations on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. With a Tribute to a veteran being held at 7pm. The Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home "Chapel" on Saturday February 26th, 2005 at 1pm. Interment will take place in the spring at the St. Martins Community Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the charity of the donors choice. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
