BREWER, E. JOY The death of E. Joy Brewer, wife of Stewart D. Brewer, of Burtts Corner occurred on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Woodstock, NB, she was the daughter of the late Rev. W.H. and Gladys (McAdam) Palmer. In the past, Joy was very active in the Girl Guide movement, and a member of the CAMR, now known as CACL. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Lewis Brewer (Carol) of Saint John, NB; one daughter, Vickie Derrah (Hilton) of Burtts Corner, NB; five grandchildren, Scott (Tara), Noel (Paula) and Brett (Sarah) Derrah, Kent (Karine) and Krystal Brewer; three great-grandchildren, Adam, Kaelan and Benjamin Derrah; one brother, Paige Palmer (Wanda) of London, ON; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Joy is predeceased by her brother Walter. Visitation will take place Friday, February 25th, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. A Private graveside service at the Burtts Corner Cemetery will follow with Rev. David Wellwood officiating. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
