Joseph Eugene Roussy BATHURST, NB - Joseph Eugene Roussy, 83, of Raymond Ave., Bathurst, died Sunday (February 20, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Pasbébiac, Que., he was the son of the late Pierre-Léon and Celestine (Roussy) Roussy. He was a very active member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst, and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Council #1935. His hobbies were gardening and wood-working, and was known by his family for cooking the best lobster. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, the former Florence Vienneau; three daughters, Irene Babin (Cyril) of Bathurst, Pauline Lapointe (Joe) of Comox, BC, Rose-Marie Clark (Lloyd) of Moncton; two sons, Paul Roussy (Viola) of Moncton, Peter Roussy (Susan) of Arnprior, ON; six sisters, Elizabeth Roussy of Pasbébiac, Que., Catherine Roussy, Simonne Cocolichio and Marieanne Demerse (Denis) all of Montreal, Que., Marie Blais (Arthur) of Port Daniel, Que., Rose Arseneau (Claude) of Bonaventure, Que.; two brothers, Edmond Roussy of St. Catherines, ON, Noé Roussy (Rita) of Pasbébiac, Que.; 13 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Gertrude, and two brothers, Joseph and Cyril. The body will rest after 7 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (February 23, 2005) at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours are Monday from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from noon till time of Funeral.
