Mrs. Anne Burdeny (née Semeniuk) February 24, 1935 - February 20, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Glenwood Funeral Home Anne will be lovingly remembered by those she touched with her boundless energy, kindness, sense of humor and positive outlook. She was the light of our lives, our angel who taught us to care and the glue that bonded us together. Since she was diagnosed with cancer in late 2003 she showed enormous strength and courage and was an inspiration to us all with her unconquerable spirit and passion for life. Anne’s greatest pleasure in life was family. Throughout her life she devoted a great deal of time, love and consideration to her parents, sisters, brothers, children and grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was gardening, she took great pride in keeping her yard like a park. Anne was happiest when she was outdoors enjoying nature. We will never forget the many camping trips to the mountains, trips home to Manitoba and vacations we took together. Since her retirement Anne spent many hours volunteering with the Ladies Auxiliary at the church. She enjoyed the fellowship and support of many friends at St.Andrews. She is survived by her husband Morris, her son Ted and wife Barb; her daughter Cheryl and husband Kerry; and three grandchildren Kyle, Brenden and Trina. She is also survived by nine sisters Liz (Michael), Evelyn (Maurice), Ollie, Alice, Ellen, Phyllis (Fred), Darlene, Terry (Christian), Jacquie (Wayne) and three brothers Johnny, Steve and William (Josephine); brother-in-law James, as well as one aunt, uncles and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Danylo and Maria Semeniuk, one sister Linda and brother-in-law Joe. Special thanks to the staff at the U of A Hospital, Cross Cancer, St. Joe’s, Edmonton General, Homecare, Grey Nuns Hospital (Unit 54) and finally Norwood Palliative Care. We will be forever grateful for the compassionate care and kindness you showed us during her extended illness. Thank you to all those who called, sent cards, and visited to see how we were doing over the past 15 months, your kindness and support was deeply appreciated.
