Frederick R. VANDER VELDE

Frederick "Fred" R. Vander Velde April 08, 1937 - February 21, 2005 The Lord has taken His loved one home suddenly on Monday, February 21, 2005 at the age of 67 years. Beloved and devoted husband of Audrey (nee Haringa) and dear father of Ed and Pauline, Lucinda and Doug Sluys, Doug and Tina, and Anna and Paul Vos. Loved Pake (grandfather) of thirteen grandchildren. Dear brother of Jennifer Turkstra, Peter Vander Velde, Rudy and Bert Van Holst, Margaret and John VanderHout, Anna Vander Velde, Hilda Vander Velde, Ebby and Peter VanDyk, and Tieteke and Gerry DeGraaf. Predeceased by his first grandson Derek Kent Vander Velde, his sister Tina Bremer, and brother John Vander Velde. Fred was loved deeply and will be sadly missed by his wife, children and grandchildren and will be missed by all his extended family and friends. He will be remembered for his love and dedication toward the cause of Christian education and his special work at the Canadian Christian Education Foundation. Friends may call at CALVIN CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 420 Hwy. 5, Dundas on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 2 p.m. Reverend John D. Hellinga officiating. Private Family Interment Service at Millgrove Cemetery prior to the Funeral Service.
