BANNING, Ellen Mary (nee Burden) A mother holds her childrens' hands for only a short while, but holds their hearts forever. Our loving Mom and Granny. Suddenly at home on Sunday, January 30, 2005. Beloved wife for 53 years of the late Stanley Percy Banning. Loving mother of Brian (Debra), Heather Banning (Patrick Coleman), Ellen (Dave Tillberg), Susan (Jerry Buzahora) and Sharon (Randall Meades). Dearest Granny of Shane, Shaun, Kristin, Matthew, Lara, James, Meaghan and Liam. Survived by her sisters Edie Roblin, Myrtle Petry, Rose Hagmann, Margaret McKluskey, Pat Smith and Phyllis Maxwell. Predeceased by her sisters Flo Burden and Kay Stewart. She will be fondly remembered by many brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may visit at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church, 1720 St. Bernard Street.
