HYLAND, Margaret Noreen (nee McManus). Passed away on January 30, 2005 at the Lakeshore General Hospital, Pointe-Claire in her seventy-seventh year. Beloved wife of Bruce O'Neil Hyland. Loving mother to her five sons, Ted, Bobby, Paul, Tony and Jamie, and her daughters-in-law Mary Corkery, Mary Noreen Farrell, and Charlene Aleck. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Donahue) McManus, and grew up in Halifax, N.S.; she received a Bachelor of Library Science degree, St. Francis Xavier University ('50) and a Bachelor of Science degree, McGill University ('52). She leaves her sisters, Sheila Haliburton (Halifax), Elizabeth McCarty (Falmouth, Mass.), and Patricia Woodford (Baddeck, N.S.), and was predeceased by her brother, Jim McManus, and her sister, Eileen McManus. She was the absolutely delighted Nanny to her grandchildren Rory, Cara, Kathleen, Justine, Hillary, Ocean and Sara. Her nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends will miss her mischievous smile and her warm and generous heart. The family would like to thank Dr. Jane Nayar for her years of dedicated care. Visitation at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 222 Highway 20 (at Cartier, exit 49), Pointe-Claire, on Wednesday, February 2, between 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will take place on Thursday, February 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Parish, 98 Aurora, Pointe-Claire.
