GALE, Donald G. Quietly on January 18th, 2005. Husband of Jean Marie Parker-Gale of St. Petersburg, Florida. Beloved father of Dawn Holcombe (Pat), Penny Ranger (Bill), Robert Gale (Janet), Susan Barkhouse (Rick) and Bill Gale (Lisa). Cherished grandfather of Debbie Cairns (Andrew), Patti Middleton (Mark), David Holcombe (Stephanie), Wesley Ranger (Jennifer Leblanc), Adam Ranger (Nicole Stewart) and Brandon Gale, Bryan Gale, Hanna Gale. Loving great-grandfather of Nikki Cairns. He leaves dearly loved sister, Shirley Westwell (Len) and many nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Predeceased by former wife Helen Bullen-Gale, brothers Arnold and Woodrow, and both parents Mildred and Robert Gale. Don was a longstanding member of the Ottawa Real Estate Board as well as many community service clubs. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Royal Canadian Navy on a motor torpedo boat. Family invite friends to attend a celebration of his life following a short memorial service at the St. Pauls Anglican Church, 20 Young's Road, Kanata, Ontario on Saturday, March 12th 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, a donation to the Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
