McLEOD, Morvil Hugh "Mac" R.C.E.M.E. (Ret.) Peacefully following a brief illness at the Ottawa Hospital on Sunday, February 5, 2005, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of 59 years to the late Maisie. Loving father of Bob and the late Christopher (Kit). Dear father-in-law of Claudine, who was his best friend and did so much for him. Adored grandpa to Scott, who was such a source of joy to him. Survived by his sister Frances Tyner. Predeceased by his brothers Neil, Barton, and Alex, his sister Marion, and his parents Lily (nee Cameron) and Alexander. He retired from the Canadian Army in 1965, after a career that included brave service in the Italian Campaign in 1943-44, and the liberation of Holland. Later in 1977, he retired from the Ottawa Real Estate Board. He will be sadly missed by the staff and residents of the Stittsville Retirement Villa. Friends and relatives may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road, on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by a service in the Chapel at noon. Cremation at Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Ottawa Heart Institute. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 2/7/2005
