LANGFORD, John (Jack) Clemens. Formerly of London, peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 in his eighty-ninth year. Sadly missed by his wife and best friend Thelma, nee Winterson. Fondly remembered by his sons Philip and wife Shelagh, and Douglas and wife Jane. Cherished Grandpa and Poppa to his grandchildren Michelle, Kristin, Matthew, Christopher and Connor. Son of the late Dr and Mrs C.B. Langford of Blenheim, Ontario. Predeceased by his brother Cameron and his sister Louise Sutherland. Affectionately regarded by his brother-in-law Bob and his wife Madge Winterson as well as his nephew Brian Sutherland and nieces Linda Stevens and Jill Winterson. Jack graduated with a B. Sc. in Engineering from the University of Toronto in 1938 and obtained a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1939. Known for his integrity, he enjoyed a dynamic business career, and after retirement, was an active participant and supporter of the building of Parkwood Hospital in London, Ontario. His varied outside interests included world travel, sailing, hobby-farming, wooden model building, and he was a dedicated HAM radio operator. A gentleman to all who knew him. Friends may call during the hour preceding the funeral service which will be conducted at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, London, on Saturday, February 12 at 12 noon by Father Jay Koyle. Cremation and interment Woodland Cemetary.
