BLATCH, Frederick T. (Fred) Peacefully at Laurier Manor, Ottawa, on Wednesday, February 16, 2005, aged 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Mary Louise (nee McCarthy) and loving father of Rev. Gregory Blatch (Catherine) of Mallorytown, Ontario. Dear grandfather of Ellen, Shona and David. Brother of Dorothy Allen and his late twin brother Gordon. Fred was born in Quebec City August 11, 1913. He was a former lead hand at Colonial Coach during the fifties and sixties and served with the Royal Canadian Engineers from 1939-1945 in Italy and Holland. He was also a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Eastview Branch #462 in Vanier. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road, at Aviation Parkway, on Sunday, February 20, 2005 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service in the Chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
