SMITH, Wilfred John (Bill) Flight Lieutenant RCAF (ret'd.) On February 25, 2005, passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital in his 89th year. Loving husband of 65 years of Evelyn. Adored father of Derek and Diane, granddad of Alyssa Kerbel and Chloe Smith, father-in-law of Bob Kerbel and Zina Bezruk. Proudly served his country for twenty-five years in the RCAF. Born in Birtley, County Durham England. He will be fondly remembered by his English cousins. A wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed and we are grateful for all the time he was with us and for the wonderful memories we have. We would like to thank the caring staff of the Ottawa General Emergency and ICU. A funeral service will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse and Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St., on Monday, February 28 at 11 am.
