Rudy Hector GAUVREAU

GAUVREAU, Rudy Hector - It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our treasured father and grandfather, Rudy Gauvreau, at the age of 73. Rudy was born in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario on February 12, 1931. Rudy was predeceased by his wife Pat (Walker). He is mourned by his daughter Brenda McCready (formerly Stewart) and her spouse Ken, his sons Mike and Steven and his spouse Monica Schafer. Rudy is also survived by four grandchildren Jeff and Chris Gauvreau, Holly and Kyle Stewart and their father Paul. Rudy is survived by his sisters Raye Black, Terry Halper, Jean Simpson and her husband Ted, brother-in-law John Greene and sister-in-law Rose Gauvreau. Rudy was predeceased by his parents Mathilde and Adelard Gauvreau and siblings Omer, Henri, Paul, Jerry, Jean-Guy, Beatrice St. Onge and Collette Greene. On his wife's side he will be missed by sisters-in-law Olga (George) Clark, Shirley and Connie Walker, and brother-in-law Stan Dobson. He was also predeceased by his wife's sisters Muriel Dobson and Marion Bevan, and very special brothers-in-law Norman "Curly" Walker, Don Bevan and Harry Walker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Special thanks to the caregivers at Pinehaven Nursing Home in Waterloo. Friends and family will be received at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King Street East (at the Delta, opposite Gage Park) on Thursday, March 4th from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service from the Chapel on Friday, March 5th at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. "Above all, Rudy was always proud of his family.
