Dorothy Agnes Rose Allen 1929 - 2005 BAIE VERTE, N.B.- Dorothy Allen, age 75, of Baie Verte, N.B., passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville, N.B. Born in Cadman's Corner, N.B. on April 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Vara (Bennett) Goodwin. Dorothy was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church, Port Elgin and was very active in the Church. She enjoyed needlework, quilting and her garden. She was a very caring daughter, sister, aunt and friend who was there to help whenever needed. She will be sadly missed by three sisters, Mabelle Brown of Amherst, N.S., Mae Spence of Bathurst, N.B. and Florence (John) Flemming of Port Elgin, N.B.; sister-in-law, Pearl Goodwin of Sackville, N.B.; and many nieces and nephews, as well as special friends, Sue Walton and Wilfred Fillmore. She was predeceased by her husband, Rennie C. Allen; two brothers, Hanson Goodwin and Eldon Goodwin; two sisters, Nellie Peacock and Evelyn Estabrooks. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place on Monday, February 28, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Campbell's Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at St. James Presbyterian Church, Port Elgin, N.B. on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 4 PM with Rev. Terrance Trites officiating. Burial will take place in the spring in the Baie Verte Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy can be made to St. James Presbyterian Church or the charity of ones choice.
