Harold A. Wright 1918 - 2005 STONEY CREEK, NB - Harold Arthur Wright, of Stoney Creek, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the age of 86. Born in Stoney Creek, he was the son of the late Morrison and Gladys (Fowler) Wright. A veteran of WW II, he served from 1941 - 1945 as an electrical mechanic. He was a millwright by trade, owning two of his own sawmills before working with the Department of Transportation. With the Department of Transportation he was the Superintendant of Highways for Westmorland and Albert Counties. He retired in 1983. He was a life member of the Conservative Party of Canada, Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion, Hillsborough Branch, of which he was still a member, and also a member of the Stoney Creek United Baptist Church. During his retirement he enjoyed his hobby sawmill, travelling and bowling. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 25 years, Ada (Rogers) Wright; daughters, Harolyn Bowen (Bob) of Boxford, Mass., Catherine Wright of Stoney Creek, and Peggy Wright of Saint John; son, Greg Wright (Marina) of Stoney Creek; step-son, Dennis Murray (Lynn) of Toronto, ON; step-daughter, Merlene Crawford (Roger) of Fredericton; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren including his "special" grand-daughter, June Young. Being the last surviving member of his immediate family he was predeceased by sisters, Nettie, Susan and Helen; and brothers, Don, Elmer and Winfred. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ralph Hopper officiating. Interment will be in Mud Creek Cemetery in the spring.
