Beata Tomander SALISBURY WEST, NB - It is with great sadness that friends announce the passing of Beata Tomander of Salisbury West on Sunday, February 27, 2005 at the Moncton Hospital after a brief but brave battle against cancer. Born December 10, 1920 in Estonia Russia, Beata was the daughter of the late August and Maria Tomander. She is survived by a brother, Toivo Tomander of Scarborough, Ontario. Known by her friends as "B" she came to Canada in the early 50 's and took the nursing course at the Moncton City Hospital becoming an R.N. She then went to work at the Sanitorium in Riverglade, where she worked for 33 years until retirement. In 1973, B bought her home and moved to Salisbury West where she still resided. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing on the Pollett River, gardening, was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed all wildlife. B was a very private person, keeping to herself, living a simple life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. At B's request there will be no visitation. A private Funeral will be at a later date. Funeral arrangements and cremation are entrusted to the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (3724800). www.keirsteads.ca Beata Tomander A graveside service for Beata Tomander of Salisbury West who passed away February 27, 2005, will be held Sunday, June 5, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at the Glades Baptist Cemetery with Rev.
