Sharon Raczynski (née Rink) September 11, 1952 - February 23, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) RACZYNSKI (Rink), Sharon - 52, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at home with her loving husband at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 11, 1952, in Winnipeg, Man., she was a daughter of Bernard and Islay (Salavich) Rink, Kamsack, Sask. She worked at The Bombay Company, Mic Mac Mall, and was an avid reader and enjoyed crafts. Along with her parents, Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Donald Frank "Don"; son, Michael (Kari-Ann), Calgary, Alta.; sister, Sandra, Calgary, Alta.; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by brother, Melford; maternal grandparents, John and Ann Salavich; paternal grandparents, John and Margaret Rink; mother-in-law, Jean Raczynski. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday in Saint Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, corner of Main Street and Caledonia Road, Dartmouth, Father Irek Bem officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Sharon's memory to Canadian Cancer Society, 1-5826 South St., Halifax, NS, B3H 1S6, would be appreciated. Special thanks to her family physician, Dr. Klonowska, oncologist, Dr. Davis and nurse, Veronica Tanner from the Nova Scotia Cancer Centre, as well as Ruby MacDonald of the Palliative Care Program and Lorna Lawless from VON for their compassionate caring and support.
