Helen A. Provo-Clayton (née Smith) December 05, 1919 - February 26, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) PROVO-CLAYTON, Helen A. - 86, North Preston, passed away in Northwoodcare Incorporated on February 26, 2005. Born in North Preston, she was a daughter of the late Demus and Susan (Bundy) Smith. Helen was a member of St. Thomas United Baptist Church, North Preston, and also a member of the senior choir, ladies auxiliary, Annie V. Johnson I.O.D.E., Morning Glory Group and the senior citizens group. She enjoyed knitting, witnessing for the Lord in song and reading the Bible. Helen was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are sons, Dennis (Beatrice), Toronto; Samuel (Ivory), North Preston; Myles (Joanie), Toronto; Glen (Beverley), Dartmouth; Dale, Dartmouth; Norman (Robin), Toronto; Basil (Beverley), Dartmouth; Philip, Dartmouth; and Clinton Provo, Calgary, Alta.; daughters, Shirley (James) Fraser, Dartmouth; Sharon (Malcolm) Barton, Madeline and Anne, all of Toronto; 78 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, many great great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; stepsons, Joseph, Peter, Nolan, all of East Preston; Clifford, Dartmouth; Carlton, Vancouver, B.C.; stepdaughters, Clara Clayton-Gough, Martha Grant, Althea Tolliver, all of East Preston; Vivian Clayton, Pam, Halifax. She was predeceased by first husband, Thomas Joseph Provo Sr.; second husband, Deacon Clifford Joseph Clayton; sons, Thomas Jr., Allan; daughter, Cecila Provo; brothers, Deacon Joseph, Noah Smith; sisters, Etta, Adeline Smith, Leota Colley-Davis, Ruth Williams, Pauline Willis. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Thomas United Baptist Church, North Preston, Rev.
