Rita M. Babin IRISHTOWN, NB - Rita Marie Babin, 76, wife of the late Edmond Babin, of Irishtown passed away Monday, February 28, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born February 6, 1929 in Coal Branch, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Josephine (Goguen) Maillet. She is survived by four daughters, Jacqueline Leger (Terrence) of Shediac Cape, Paulette Snow (Chris) of Saint John, Denise Wynberg (Peter) and Gisele Maillet (Guy) both of Irishtown; three sons, Alderick "Rick" (Bernadette) and Maurice both of Moncton, Charles with whom she resided; five sisters, Florine Pitre (Clarence) of St-Paul, Hélène Richard (Roméo) of Dieppe, Marguerite Robichaud (Rudy) of Moncton, Patricia Vinovich (John) and Maxine Haryluck (Steve) both of Ontario; three brothers, Zoël (Minnie) and Francis (Aline) both of Moncton, Armand (Thérèse) of Bathurst; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, and nephews. Besides her husband, her brothers, Edgar and Louis predeceased her. Remains resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (8581900). Visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of departure. The funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005 at St. Lawrence O'Toole Roman Catholic Church, Irishtown. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
