Wendy Louise Edwards (née McClaren) December 31, 1957 - February 25, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) Passed away peacefully at Cowichan District Hospital on February 25, 2005 after a ten month battle with cancer. Predeceased by her mother Diana and brother-in-law Jim. Wendy leaves to mourn her husband Clayton; children Trisha and Shane; father Lindsay (Donna); brothers Ron (Sandra) and Brian; mother-in-law Shirley Edwards; sister-in-law Elaine; as well as nieces, nephews and many friends. Wendy was born December 31, 1957 in Victoria, BC and moved to Duncan when she was 8 years old. Wendy and Clayton were married May 15, 1976 and she became a “stay at home” mom after the children were born. She was a loving mother who was very involved in her childrens lives at home and school. Wendy will be missed greatly. Special thanks to Dr. MacGregor, the wonderful staff on “2 east”, the Hospice workers and the Home Care staff; your care for Wendy was greatly appreciated. A Memorial Service will be held at The Oasis Church, 5070 Riverbottom Road, W. on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. The family would appreciate memories of Wendy to read at the Memorial.
