MACLEOD, JESSIE RUTH The death of Jessie Ruth MacLeod, wife of Alexander "Alec" MacLeod, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on March 2, 2005 at York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB. Born in Cardigan, PEI, she was a daughter of the late William and Jessie MacEachern. Ruth was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara MacLeod of Fredericton, NB and Elaine Estey (Melvin) of Stratford, PEI; two sons, Bruce MacLeod (Pat) of Saint John, NB and David MacLeod (Jill) of Fredericton, NB; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Florence Myers and Marion MacLeod both of Montaque, PEI and Ann Cameron (John) of Charlottetown, PEI; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ruth is predeceased by her son Bill MacLeod and two sisters, Evelyn Kennedy and Bell MacEachern. Visitation will take place Thursday, March 3rd, 2005 at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 4th, 2005 at 2 pm from the Nashwaaksis United Church, Fredericton, NB with Rev. Franklin Curtis officiating and Rev. Dr. John Cameron (brother-in-law) officiating. Interment will take place at Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Christian Blind Mission International and would be appreciated by the family.
