Audrey Sawdon SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Audrey Sawdon, age 85, widow of William Sawdon, of Sackville, occurred suddenly at the Drew Nursing Home on Friday, March 4, 2005. Born in Housy's Rapids, Muskoka, ON, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Henrietta (Chiswold) Cook. A veteran of WW II, she was a Canadian Army Medical Corp, Nursing Sister, serving in England and Italy from 1942 - 1946. She was a member of the Sackville United Church UCW. She is survived by her son, Ronald, Sackville; three brothers, Lawrence (Gladys) Cook, Gravenhurst, ON, Maurice (Marjorie) Cook, Housy's Rapids, ON and Gerald (Rose) Cook, Bracebridge, ON; and a sister, Olive Pitson, Scarborough, ON. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill in 2001; a son, Robert; and a brother, Carl. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at 11 am, Rev. Dr. Jamie Gripton officiating.
