Donald "Donnie" Leo Russell October 14, 1951 - March 04, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) RUSSELL, Donald Leo - It is with sadness and a sense of great peace that we announce the death of Donald Leo Russell, 54, Dartmouth, on Friday, March 4, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital, where Donnie's struggle with pain ended. He was a son of Graham and Loretta Russell. Donnie was employed at Prescott Group for many years. Although multiply challenged, Donnie over came many obstacles and enjoyed life to the fullest. Donnie liked camping and fishing and was an avid collector of everything. Donnie especially enjoyed going to church and the fellowship there. Donnie was predeceased by his father, Graham. He is survived by his mother, Loretta Russell; brothers, Albert (Sudi), Jim (Jackie), George (Rollande), Cliff (Connie) and Lewis Russell; sisters, Candy (Larry), Nancy (Don); as well as his adoring aunt, Ruby. Blessed to be part of his life were his extended family, Gordon, Ethel, Greg Manson and Nanny Leedham; special friends, Sheila and Percy. Cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration of his life will be held in Atlantic Funeral Home Chapel, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, Tuesday, March 8, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Phil Taylor officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the Atlantic Funeral Home Reception Room.
