Norman MacMullin February 16, 1951 - March 09, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) Mac MULLIN, Norman - 54, Cole Harbour, passed away March 9, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Boisdale, Cape Breton, he was a son of the late John Bernard and Mary (Mac Intyre) Mac Mullin. Norman completed his B.A./B.Ed. at Saint Francis Xavier University and his Master of Education at Mount Saint Vincent University. Norm had a 33 year career with the Dartmouth School Board. He taught at the junior high and elementary school levels and also spent many years as a guidance counselor. Norm's love of teaching also included tutoring children, Driver's Education, Continuing Adult Education and Sunday school. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his two dogs, J and Patches. A loving husband, wonderful father and friend to all, he will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend of 31 years, Lexie (Farrell) Mac Mullin; children, Tanya (John) Neima, Tara (Ryan) Byrne, Kyle, Ashley, Neil; siblings, Daniel Joseph (Thérese), John Bernard (Michaelena), Blaise, Christena (Pat) Moore, Mary Tighe; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his loving nephew, Glen. Arrangements entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral mass 1 p.m. Saturday in Pope John XXIII Catholic Church, Father Owen Connolly officiating. Interment to follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in Norman's memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
