Margaret Fay Hetherington (née McCoombs) January 08, 1911 - March 10, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) HETHERINGTON, Margaret Fay - 94, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 10, 2005, at the home of her loving daughter. Born January 8, 1911, in Milton, Queens Co., and later growing up in Woodside, she was a daughter of the late George and Louisa (Hartlen) McCoombs. She was an avid sports fan and was also active in sports, playing hockey and tennis in her younger years. Fay is survived by her beloved family and will be sadly missed by daughter, Darlene; son, Bruce (Carol), Dartmouth; granddaughter, Susan Dodgson, Dartmouth; grandson, James (Krista), Whites Lake; great-grandson, Nicholas Dodgson; sister, Georgina Morneau, Ottawa; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Bruce; sisters, Agatha Whitworth, Helen Baranski, Vera Dunn; brothers, Cecil, Eugene, James, Clarence, Douglas, Reginald. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where the family will receive friends from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday, and where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Rev. Glenn MacLean officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre. Family flowers only.
