MCELHERAN McElheran, Grace Loretta, (nee Cleveland) late of New Westminster, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a courageous battle with cancer on January 9, 2005 in her 75th year. Daughter of the late Beatrice and Benjamin Cleveland of Yarmouth, N.S. Sister to Paul, Arthur (previously deceased) and Thomas of Digby. N.S. Wife of the late W. Gordon McElheran. She is survived by her five children; Nancy (Rob), Arthur (Laurie), Dianne (Neil), Donald (Monique) all residing in Ontario and Lori (Andy) of Port Coquitlam B.C, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Grace was a long time resident of Avonmore Ontario were she and Gordie raised their family. After a long career in nursing at the Winchester Memorial, Cornwall General and finally Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, Grace retired in 1991. Well traveled, an avid square dancer, member of the Order of the Eastern Star and volunteer, Grace remained active into her retirement years. She was much loved, well respected and will be dearly missed. A memorial service in her honor is to be held on Saturday, January 22 at 11:00 a.m. in Ingleside at St. Matthew's Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Cancer Society in Grace's memory. - 1/19/2005 - ID5544511
