MARTEL, Maurice J.H. On Sunday, January 23, 2005 at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario. Maurice Martel of Bobcaygeon, formerly of Cornwall; age 69 years. Beloved husband of 49 years to Zaida M. Martel. Loving father of Lenna Pelley (Wayne) of Bobcaygeon, Leonard Martel (Linda), Starranne McBride (James) of Whitby. Special grandfather of Ryan Pelley, Van McGrath (Debbie), Rebecca, Ashley and Madison McBride; great-grandfather of Ashlyn Pelley. Dear son of the late Leonard Martel and the late Clara St. John. Dear brother of Cecile Paquin (Merv), John Martel (Germaine), of Cornwall, Simone Martin (Leroy) of Hollywood, Florida, Pierrette Pierce (Bob) of Petawawa and predeceased by one brother Gerald Martel. Funeral services were held at Jardine Funeral Home Chapel in Bobcaygeon on Wednesday, January 26th. A special service was also held by the Canadian Legion at the Chapel. Cremation followed.
