BETTY “ELIZABETH” COLLINS (Nee Marshall) 1929-2005 The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Sudbury Memorial Hospital on Monday, January 31, 2005 at the age of 75 years. Loving wife of the late John Collins (1985) and dearest mother of Elizabeth Landers (husband Allan) of Timmins and the late John Collins (1974). Grandmother of Matthew and Jason Landers of Timmins. Survived by her sister Mary Howely (late husband John) of Scotland as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; Elizabeth and Simon Marshall as well as a sister; the late Peggy Lammond. Betty was born on August 21, 1929 in Scotland and moved to Timmins over 50 years ago where she met and married her husband John and together they raised their family. She also worked for many years as a clerk in the sports department at Canadian Tire until 1986. Betty was an active member of the Legion Branch 88 women‚s auxiliary as well as the Schumacher Pioneer Club. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2005 in the Chapel of the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Rev. Bill Jones officiating. Interment to follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, remembrance donations to the Sudbury Regional Hospital or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
