Rose Colameco (1913-2005) The family announces with great sorrow the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Rose on Friday February 11th at the Timmins and District Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in North Bay Ontario, she married her husband Frank in June 1939 and moved to Timmins that same year. Frank predeceased her in 1988. She was also predeceased by 2 sisters Nicoline Cangiano of North Bay and Angelina Pappone of Timmins. She is survived by one sister Mary Palangio of North Bay, her four loving children; Dennis Colameco (wife Mary), Norman Colameco (wife Dorthea), Paul Colameco (wife Darlene), and Joan O’Hare (husband Dennis). She was always proud of her eight grandchildren, Michael, David and Joe Colameco of Burlington, Evan and Brendan Colameco of Timmins and Megan, Sean and Ryan O’Hare of Timmins. Rose was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish, The Catholic Women’s League and The Porcupine Dante Club. Her final week was made more comfortable by the caring nurses and doctors of Medical-2 at Timmins and District Hospital. The family also wishes to sincerely thank the caring team in the dialysis unit, the Timmins Handi-Trans drivers and the homecare support workers for their dedicated compassionate service in recent years. Rose loved to knit and sew and had a passion for cooking and baking which she lovingly prepared right up until her last week. She will be sadly missed for her patience, courageous spirit, understanding, sense of humour, her keen awareness of current affairs and her true enjoyment and positive outlook of all life had to offer right to the end. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the dialysis unit of the Timmins and District Hospital. The family will receive friends at the Lessard-Stephens funeral home Sunday February 13th 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral mass to celebrate her life will be at Sacred Heart Parish Monday at 11 am. - 2/12/2005 - ID5667217
