ADDISON, Peter Mark With his family at his side, Peter Mark Addison died at the Ottawa General Hospital on February 25, 2005. Peter was born in Toronto, February 26, 1942 and grew up in Thunder Bay and later Richmond Hill. He worked as an aerial photographic interpreter traveling Canada and the world. Later, he adopted Glengarry as his home and worked for the Township of Kenyon for over a decade. He raised beef cattle for fifteen years on his farm northeast of Maxville until his health prevented him from continuing. Despite his ongoing battle with lung disease, he continued to actively follow current events, enjoy gardening and bird watching, and entertaining family and friends with his storytelling. Peter is survived by his ex-wife Dona (Fraser) of Cornwall, Ontario; his children Julia Addison of Maxville, Ontario; P. Fraser Addison (Julianne) and grandchildren Melanie, P. Jeremy, and Nicole of Lunenburg, Ontario; James Addison (Valerie) of Waterloo, Ontario; and by his brothers Bill Addison (Wendy) of Kakabeka Falls, Ontario, and Edward Addison (Rosemary) of Aurora, Ontario. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main Street South, Maxville (613-527-2898) on Monday, February 28, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Private Family Service will be held at Kenyon Presbyterian Church, Dunvegan, Ontario on Tuesday, March 1, 2005. Cremation has taken place. The family extends sincere appreciation to many folks who have cared for Peter over the years: the staff at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital, and the Ottawa General Hospital, particularly the Intensive Care Unit and the Respirology group. The family requests that in memoriam donations be directed to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital, the Ottawa General Hospital, the Lung Association, or the charity of your choice. As a Memorial to Peter, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows – memories live.
