MACDONALD, Lois Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital, after a lengthy illness, on Saturday, February 5, 2005. Lois (nee Powell), in her 80th year, beloved wife of the late Ernie Smith. Dear mother of Judy Duffy and her husband Ivan, and Tim Ma cDonald and his wife Peg. Special "Nan" to Steven, Debbie (Derek), Mark (Rachel), Matthew (Tonya) and to 9 great grandchildren. Survived by brother George (Sonny) Martin and his wife Helen. Predeceased by sisters Audrey and Muriel. Heartfelt thanks t o Lois' niece, Cathy Botting, for the tender moments she shared with her, and also to Dr. Wigle, Dr. Paolucci, and to her caregivers, Georgina Bush and Elizabeth Tello. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2). Friends will be received on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. A private funeral will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, February 8, 2005, with Rev. Bill Whiston officiating. Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy , donations may be made to Mountain Grove United Church or The Lung Association in Lois' memory.
