CLARKE, Kenneth A. Retired Captain R.C. Corp of Signals Born in Montreal on March 24, 1926, and died peacefully surrounded by his family at K.G.H. February 28, 2005. He is predeceased by his wife Rita (Fowler), his parents Arthur Clarke, Celia (Rarit y) and his sister Enid Landry. Remaining in the light of his love, a sister Marg McBurney (Ken), Sawyerville, P.Q.; his wife Elsie (Hann/Lawrance); daughters Lynne Thompson (Jim), Kingston; Ellen McIver (Ian), Nova Scotia; Rhoda MacFarlane (Zane), Ki ngston; Marian Kent (Ken), Hartington; Alice McLeod (Jim), Ottawa; Louise Telford (Paul), Napanee; and son Bill Clarke (Nancy), Kingston; step children Jim Lawrance (Lil), New Brunswick; Tom Lawrance (Gail), Delta; Linda Lawrance, Kingston; as well a s nineteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and a host of nephews and nieces. He wa a member of the Boy Scout Association for 25 years and a founding member of the Signallers Club. Memorial Service to be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church , 236 Nelson Street on Saturday, March 5 at 10:00 a.m. Friends will be received on Friday, March 4, 7-9 p.m. at James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Scouts Ca nada for Otter Lake Cub Camp or the Kingston Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
