Robert R. Finck Robert R. Finck, 92, of Moncton, and formerly of Halifax, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, March 13, 2005. Born in Halifax, son of the late Beatrice (Forbes) Finck. Robert was retired from The City of Moncton and Lounsbury Truck Division. He attended the Moncton Wesleyan Church and was a survivor of The Halifax Explosion (1917). He was a veteran of the Second World War, served with the Canadian Army. Robert will be sadly missed by his daughters, Shirley Finck, Moncton, Barbara Lewis (Jerry), Oakville, ON; sons, Tom (Anne), Gordon (Glenda), Moncton, Ronald (Pauline), Amherst, NS; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; brothers, Roy Forbes (Joan), Elwood Forbes, Halifax; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife, Margaret (Melanson) (1937); second wife, Laura (Vautour) (1952). Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Tuesday, March 15, 2005, 9:30am till time of service at 11am. Moncton Legion #6 Memorial Service 11am followed by the Funeral Service with Dr. Laurel Buckingham officiating. Reception following the service. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery, Halifax.
