BLANCHARD, BENOIT FRANCIS The death of "Ben" Francis Blanchard of Waterville, Sun Co., NB occurred March 14th, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Duvar, PEI, 1928. He was the son of the late Freeman and Priscilla Blanchard. Ben retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after 25 years service in Oromocto, raising his family in the Oromocto area. Ben attended Saint Vincent de Paul Parish and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd and 4th Degree. Dear husband of Erma (Gallant) Blanchard; loving father of Sheila (Jim) Sandul, of Alix, AB, Terry (Donna) Blanchard of Fredericton, NB, Freeman (Jeanne) Blanchard of Rusagonis, NB, Darlene MacLean of Cornwall, PEI, Marsha (Jim) MacLean of Oromocto, NB, Kimberly (Wayde) Reeleder of Nepean, ON and Shonna Blanchard of Fredericton, NB; loving grandfather of Kenneth, Mandy, Myriah, David, Eric, Robyn, Natasha, Tony, Tammy, Joey, Rhonda and Ryan; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer (Bena) Dundas of Ontario as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Leo and his sisters, Doris, Mildred, Olive and Leona. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago Street, on Wednesday, March 16th, 2005 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Vincent de Paul Church on Thursday, March 17th, 2005 at 11:00 am. Reverend Ken Weir as celebrant. Interment will be in Saint Vincent de Paul Cemetery at a later date.
