Clara Margaret Veronica Novelli February 15, 1923 - March 15, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) NOVELLI, Clara Margaret Veronica - 82, Halifax, passed away March 15, 2005, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late John and Rita (Vetese) Dill. She was a devoted mother to her children and wife to her late husband, Frank, who worked as a longshoreman on the Halifax waterfront. She is survived by her daughters, Lana Oldford (Rusty St. John), Teresa Novelli (Jimmy Goyetche), Leslie Nicholson (Donald Sampson), Connie Novelli and Lisa Novelli (Ralph Hollett), all of Halifax; sons, Frank (Carolyn), Porter's Lake; Gary (Linda), Dartmouth; Carlo and Tony, both of Halifax; brothers, Tommy (Rose) Dill, Truro; John (Phyllis) Dill, Sackville; sisters, Violet (Percy) Jeffery and Glenna Mercier, both of Halifax; 10 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Novelli; son, Ernie Novelli; brother, Donald Dill; stepbrothers, Ernesto and Joseph Meriggi; stepsister, Helen Meriggi; granddaughter, Lucia Simone Novelli. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Friday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 1 p.m. with Rev. James Haughn officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Family flowers only please.
