THOMSON, JUNE The death of June Thomson of Fredericton, NB, wife of George Thomson, occurred on March 16, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Belledune, NB, on June 11, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Byron and Mildred (Pike) Moriarity. June graduated from New Brunswick Teachers' College in 1950. She taught in the public school system for several years in Saint John, Fredericton, and Bathurst, NB. She established the Tom Thumb Kindergarten and was its owner, operator for 25 years: 1966 - 1991. She was an active member of the Gibson Memorial United Church. She was treasured by all who knew her, she lived a joyful and generous life and will be sadly missed. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (John MacDonald) Thomson of Whitby, Ontario, and Sherry (Marc Chenard) Thomson of Fredericton, NB; two brothers, Merton Moriarity (Frances) of Sydney, BC, and Ronnie Moriarity of Ajax, ON; one sister, Lynn Moriarity (Rob Walker) of Calgary, AB; six grandchildren, Laura, Alexander, Bradley and Byron MacDonald, and Patrick and Geoffrey Chenard; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Frances Moriarity. Visitation will take place Thursday, March 17, 2005 from 7 to 9 pm and Friday, March 18th, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 19th, 2005 at 11 am from the Gibson Memorial United Church with Rev. Boyd Vincent officiating. For those who wish, the family would appreciate remembrances to the Kidney Foundation, the Gibson Memorial United Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
