Sarah Ellen CLEGHORN

FOWLER, Sarah Ellen (nee Cleghorn), Ellen, in her 80th year, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 with her husband at her side. Her darling husband (John) was blessed to have shared his life with her for 58 years. Mom fou ght cancer and her many other illnesses to raise her children to adulthood and to witness the arrival of her six grandchildren. She is survived by her three children, Douglas (Kerstin), Ellen Ann and Lyle (Karen) Fowler; grandchildren Kyra, Deirdre, Clayton, Cassandra, Patrina and Lucas Fowler. Family members also include brother-in-law Bobby (Joy) Wynn, sister-in-law Joan (nee Fowler) Gare. Survived by her nieces and nephews, Peter Gare, June (nee Gare) Muir, Jill (nee Forrester) Fretz, David W ynn and Barbara Wynn-Jones. Mom enjoyed babysitting her special grandchildren Kelley, Kit and Kourt. Ellen was predeceased by her parents George and Mabel Cleghorn and her brother John Forrester. Many thanks to her many friends for their support and friendship over the years in the Merritton Community, as well as her holiday friends on the Trent Canal system at Youngs Point. Mom was a member of Elm Street United Church and was actively involved in the past. She had a real spark for life and a ph ilosophy which included the act of playing, and she played to the fullest. The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, 905-684-6346, on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Fun eral Service in the Chapel on Friday, February 25, 2005 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
