BEATTY, Gary, Beloved husband, father, brother, son and grandfather passed away peacefully at home with his family on Thursday, February 24, 2005. Gary and Mary Lyn (Frederick) Beatty were married on February 27, 1965 in Bracebridge, where they made their home and raised their family. Gary was the loving son of Margaret Beatty of Bracebridge, and brother of Gail and her husband Mike Fay of Aylmer, Quebec. Gary was the proud father of Kristan and her husband Joseph Hamon of Combermere, Erika and her husband Wesley Krantz of Chippawa, Jonathan and his wife Sandra of Brampton, Clair Ann of Bracebridge, and Aaron and his wife Marlan of Guelph. He was the attentive grandfather of Andrew, Marissa, Joanna, Anthony, Isaac, Katrina, and Francisco H amon, Gwen and Aiden Beatty, and Matthew Beatty. Gary was born on January 1, 1942 in Bracebridge to Stan Beatty and Margaret (French) Beatty. He was predeceased by his older brother Wayne. When Gary wasn't "keeping Muskoka warm", he fully enjoyed man y hobbies and passions ranging from jazz, flying, off road performance rallying, vintage motor bikes, and sailing. He spent as much time as possible at the family cottage on Lake Muskoka, and in later years travelling to Mexico and Cuba. He will reme mbered for his uncompromising loyalty to his friends and family, his eargerness to take a risk, his quick intelligence and ready sense of fun, his integrity and empathy, and his active demonstration of how to live life well and passionately. Visitati on was held at REYNOLDS FUNERAL HOME "TURNER CHAPEL" in Bracebridge on Friday, February 25th from 7-9 p.m. and will be held Saturday, February 26th from 1-3 p.m. The memorial service will be at 3 p.m. in the Reynold's Chapel, followed by a reception at St. Thomas Anglican Church Browning Hall. According to Gary's wishes, a celebration of his life will take place dockside sometime during the summer.
