SAVARD, Joseph "Ivan", Peacefully at Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital, surrounded by family, Friday, March 11, 2005, in his 86th year. Ivan Savard, predeceased by his loving wife Barbara (Pinder). Beloved father of Gail (Ronald, deceased) Redekop, Don ( Joanne) Savard of Victoria, BC, and Richard James Savard. Devoted grandfather to Debbie (Ted) Voth, Dana (Glenn) Block, Chris (Erin) Savard of Inuvik, NWT, Patrick Savard of Vancouver, BC, Kaitlyn Savard and Matthew Savard, both of Victoria, BC. Ivan will be greatly missed by his great-grandchildren Ronald, Megan, Eric, William and Carter. Ivan is predeceased by his brothers Raymond Savard and Richard Savard, and his sister Rita Keracher. He is survived by his sisters Giselle Carroll and Colette Savard. He will be lovingly remembered by his large extended family and many friends. Ivan was born in St. Catharines, where he made his career as a well-respected and skilled tool and die-maker, working at General Motors for over 35 years. We will all miss his fun-loving nature, wonderful sense of humour and gift for story-telling. Ivan's memory will be kept alive by those who knew and loved him. Love knows no sense of beginning or end. At Ivan's request, cremation has taken place. A celebrati on of Ivan's life will be held at a later date. The family would like to say many thanks to the wonderful nursing staff at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital and a special thanks to Dr. Berti for her compassion and kindness.
