William R. Fowlie 1909 - 2005 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. William Robertson Fowlie, husband of the late Agnes Fowlie, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of Black River Bridge, passed away at his residence on Sunday evening, March 20, 2005, at the age of 95. Born in Black River Bridge, he was the son of the late Herbert and Bertie (MacKnight) Fowlie. He was a carpenter and cabinet maker by profession. He was a member of the Full Gospel Faith Assembly Church. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Anna Watling (Neil), of Little Branch Road and Miss Beth Fowlie, of Miramichi Bay; three sons, Ingram Fowlie (Connie), of Port Hawksbury, N.S., Archie Fowlie (Jean), of Bathurst, and Frederick (Ted) Fowlie (Bunny), of Miramichi Bay; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Agnes MacLean, in 2003; two sisters, Isabel MacRae and Minnie Burke; four brothers, Gordon, George, Edgar and Eldon Fowlie. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Tuesday evening, from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Stephens United Church, Black River Bridge, on Thursday, March 24, 2005, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Black River Cemetery Fund, St. Stephens United Church or the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, would be appreciated by the family.
