Eric Charles Pickrem June 22, 1955 - March 17, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) PICKREM, Eric Charles - 49, Bedford, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 17, 2005, in Bedford. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Harry and Roelfien (Hes) Pickrem. He was a loving and devoted father of his cherished daughter, Sarah. He was owner and operator of Allwood Homes Ltd., Bedford, for the past 20 years and enjoyed the challenge of designing and crafting new homes. He was actively involved with the Bedford Basin Yacht Club, where he enthusiastically participated in ocean racing and learn to sail programs, where he will be missed by his friends in the boating community. Surviving, besides his daughter, Sarah are his brother, Fred (Ann) Pickrem, Greenhill; sisters, Ruth, Wolfville; Faye, Toronto; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Norman. Visitation will be today from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. A memorial service will be Tuesday, March 22, at 2 p.m. in West End United Baptist Church, corner of Quinpool Road and Preston Street, Halifax, Rev. Jerome MacDonald officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations may be sent to Bedford Basin Yacht Club Learn to Sail Program. A memory book is being created for Eric's daughter, Sarah.
