Robert "Bobby" Thomas Zwicker February 28, 1941 - March 20, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) ZWICKER, Robert Thomas "Bobby" - 64, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 20, 2005, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born February 28, 1941, in Halifax, he was a son of Hilda Margaret (Burns) Zwicker, Dartmouth, and the late James Alonzo Zwicker. Bobby was a taxi driver with Bob's Taxi, and last year received a commendation from the City of Halifax for 34 years of service. In his younger years, Bobby was a sports enthusiast, especially enjoying baseball, and was scouted by the Detroit Tigers when he was 17. Along with his mother, Bobby is survived by daughters, Karen (Tim) Myles, Upper Sackville; Kathy Lowe, Dartmouth; sons, Robbie and Kirk Zwicker, Ontario; Chris Lowe, Dartmouth; six grandchildren; brother, Ronnie (Evelyn) Zwicker, Dartmouth; nephew, Gary. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre. Family flowers only. If so desired, a donation in Bobby's memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, 5161 George St., Floor 7, Halifax, NS B3J 1M7, would be appreciated.
