Clara Alva Lewis The death of Clara Alva Lewis of Moncton occurred, after a period of failing health, at the Spencer Memorial Home on Monday, March 21, 2005. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late F. Tracey and Dessie M. (Leaman) Edgar. Mrs. Lewis had been employed with T. Eaton Ltd. working in the cafeteria prior to Eaton's closing it's Record St. store, after which she was employed with Shoppers Drug Mart in Champlain Place from where she retired several years ago. She is survived by one daughter, Glenda Melanson (Alonzo) and one son, Garth (Sharron) all of Moncton; 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Cecil; one infant daughter, Glenna and one son, Royce. By personal request there will not be any visiting hours or public memorial service. Interment will take place in the spring in The Horsman Cemetery, Lutes Mountain. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's, Cancer Fund or the Parkinson's Foundation.
