Dorothy C. Corey SUSSEX, NB - Dorothy Caroline Corey, 85, of Kiwanis Nursing Home Sussex and formerly Havelock, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2005 at the Sussex Health Center. Born in Cherryvale, she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Laura (Corey) Black. A homemaker, Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed traveling, quilting, knitting and was a Life Member of the Lower Ridge Women's Institute. Surviving is her husband of sixty seven years, Archibald (Archie); four children, Mona Thorne (Stanley) of Sussex, Duane of Quispamsis, Ward (Darlene) and Dixie Melvin (Ronald) both of Havelock; six grandchildren, Karen, Kent, Shelley, Shawni, Laura and Jennifer; six great grandchildren, Alex, Emma, Larissa, Justus, Brandon and Kennedy. Also survived by a brother Claude of Centerville and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Doreen Corey; sisters Juanita Corey, Geneva Boron, Bernice Keith, Marguerite Hanson and Erma Silk; brothers, Ford, Lawrence and Garnet. Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross Street (534-2600) with visiting hours Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel, 3350 Salisbury Road on Saturday, March 26 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Jack officiating.
