PORTER, ETHEL MAE - At Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, NB, Ethel Mae Porter passed away peacefully on March 24, 2005 in her 90th year. Survived by sister, Grace O'Brien; sister-in-law, Phyllis Hachey; stepdaughters, Leona Arseneault, Shirley Smith; stepsons, Ronald Porter, Arnold Porter, Roger Porter and Darryl Porter; nieces, Dorothy Woodland, Juanita White, Dianne O'Brien, Thora O'Brien; nephews, Gerald O'Brien, Robert Rushton, Donald O'Brien and their families. Predeceased by husband, Barton Porter; sister, Eunice Purcell; brother, Robert Rushton Sr.; stepdaughter, Thelma Sabean. She will be especially remembered by Dr. Omar and family. Ethel worked for many years in the Cotton Mill, Queen Charlotte Cleaners and retired from Charlotte County Hospital. Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB from where funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 3PM with Rev. Boyce Martin officiating. Interment at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 to 3PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Milltown United Church or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family. [Telegraph-Journal]
