Oswald John STRICKLAND

STRICKLAND, Oswald John Peacefully, with his children by his side, on Thursday, February 24, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 79. Oswald, originally from Badger, Nfld., was the son of Walter and Emily Strickland. Loving husband for 48 years of Rowena. Forever missed by his sons Derek (Silvia), Stittsville, and John (Elizabeth), Kanata. Cherished grandfather of Derek, Kevin, Brianna and Brock. The family would like to thank the staff of the Almonte General Hospital, Rosamund Unit, for the loving care extended to our father and for the compassion provided to his family in his final days. A service in memory of Ozzie's life will be held at Riverside United Church, 3191 Riverside Dr., Ottawa, on Friday, March 4 at 4:30 p.m., immediately followed by a reception.
